Laura Elmes Productions is a theatre production company based in London, specialising in the development and presentation of new musicals and comedy.
Current productions include Waiter, There's a Murder in my Soup! (Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre), Hexborn's School of Sorcery (The Vaults), Unfortunate: The Untold Story of Ursula the Sea Witch (Underbelly, Edinburgh Fringe '19), Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody (Assembly, Edinburgh Fringe and UK tour), Algorithms (Pleasance Edinburgh and Soho Theatre), Buzz: A New Musical (currently back in development after touring the UK from 2016-17, winner of the Otherplace/Balkan Award), and The Ascension of Mrs Leech, a new musical by Daniel Foxx, Pippa Cleary and Robyn Grant. We are also currently general managers for Ladykiller (UK Tour).
Previous productions include Vulvarine: A New Musical (Assembly '18 & Gilded Balloon '19 Edinburgh Fringe and UK tour),Beauty and the Beast: A Musical Parody (King's Head Theatre and UK tour, nominated for an Off West End Award),Tom and Bunny Save the World (Assembly Edinburgh 2017 and UK tour, winner of the Festival Spirit Award at VAULT festival and Fairy Powered Productions' Best New Writing Award), The Prophetic Visions of Bethany Lewis (The Other Palace, Brighton Fringe and Underbelly Edinburgh 2017, winner of the Brighton Fringe Award for Excellence), Fanatical the Musical (Playground Theatre), Puss in Boots (Drayton Arms Theatre), Pond Wife (UK tour and Underbelly Edinburgh 2016), Blackout (The Strand, site-specific) and The Seagull (Etcetera Theatre).
Who We Are
Laura Elmes - Producer
Laura is an award-winning producer with experience spanning both the commercial and subsidised sectors. Alongside being Producer for LEP, Laura is currently Head of Programming for Troubadour Theatres, a new theatre venture opening 3 new venues in London in Summer 2019 ranging from 800 to 1500 seats. Laura was previously Production Coordinator for Runaway Entertainment from 2015-18, working on numerous West End productions including Girl From The North Country (Old Vic and Noel Coward), Tom Fletcher’s Christmasaurus Live (Hammersmith Apollo), Guys and Dolls starring Rebel Wilson (Phoenix, Savoy, UK tour and Tel Aviv), Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights (King’s Cross Theatre) and The Railway Children (King’s Cross Theatre). She began her career working with Jamie Hendry Productions as Production Assistant on Impossible (Noel Coward) and Production Intern on Let It Be (Garrick).
Laura is supported by the Stage One Bursary for New Producers.
Ellie Fitz-Gerald - General Manager
Ellie graduated with a distinction from the MA in Creative Producing at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2018.
Since graduating she has worked as a freelance theatre producer and is currently the Producer for Plain Heroines. She has also worked for Paines Plough, DEM Productions and was the Festival Coordinator for the National Student Drama Festival in 2019.
